Go gender-neutral with a jungle themed nursery.

This cute and cozy nursery is a great place to spend some time with your wee one

Lions and tigers and fun are found in these fabulous nurseries. From the bedding to the decals to the organization, a jungle-themed room gives parents loads of great decor options. Just add furniture and a baby and you’re all set!

This mom and dad created a gender-neutral nursery using a beautiful paint color, adorable bedding, and super-creative use of our wall decals. Mom and dad coated the walls with Benjamin Moore’s Country Green to give the room a soft, soothing feel. They outfitted the bed with Sleepin’ Safari bed cribbing from Land of Nod. With colorful animals appliqued on the quilt and bumper, this was a great choice that accents the wall color perfectly.

The piece de resistance in this nursery is the fantastic wall decor found over the crib. File this under…wall decals, they’re not just for walls anymore! Mom and dad created their own custom artwork featuring some of our favorite decals. A cuddly blue elephant starts the parade, followed by a stately giraffe and lion. A lumbering hippo and darling little turtle round out the animal train. Carefully placed on wooden canvases, these one-of-a-kind pieces are modern enough for the room and timeless enough to be passed down the the grandchildren. We are, once again, blown away by the creativity of moms and dads everywhere!

A friendly animal parade stretches end-to-end over Nathan's crib.

This New York City mom went with a jungle theme in her little boy’s nursery, and the results are incredible! Benjamin Moore’s Grey Cashmere blankets the wall and provides a lovely backdrop for that Ouef Sparrow crib in white. Minimalist bedding provides some leeway to jazz up the walls with adorable decals, and that’s just what mom did! She chose two complimentary decal designs to bring some fun to her little boy’s room. Mom used our safari wall decal mural to create a little parade across the wall. A handsome giraffe leads the way followed by his charming safari friends. It’s only appropriate that the turtle acts as the caboose in this animal train!  Mom chose to personalize her son’s room with out premium personalized monkey wall decal. We just love how that mischievous little monkey looks ready to drop in on the fun as well!

Mom tells us, “The Safari wall decals match perfectly with the furniture and the Cloud B Monkey Sleep Machine and Tiny Love Sweet Island Dreams mobile!  We love them and so does everyone else that’s come by to see it!” We couldn’t agree more! This is a great example of two great looks that look great together. Fantastic job, mom!

Eye-catching stripes create an accent wall.

If you follow our blog, you already know that one of the biggest recent trends in nursery décor is minimalism. Moms and dads are being more practical in their selection of paint colors, fabrics, and furniture so that their baby can grow in to, not out of, his or her room. In an effort to save time and money, many parents are moving away from babyish nurseries and designing simpler, sophisticated spaces that will withstand the test of time.

Another latest and greatest trend in nurseries everywhere is vintage décor. Nurseries that incorporate vintage elements are popping up everywhere, and there are websites dedicated to retro room design for babies and kids. Meaning, there is plenty of inspiration out there for parents who are searching for a whimsical, nostalgic feel in their home.

While these two styles (minimalist and vintage) may seem to be in stark contrast to one another, a Canadian mom found a way to effortlessly incorporate elements from each in her baby boy’s room. The result? A playful space that is that exudes sophistication and eludes the kitsch factor that can come into play when decorating with vintage pieces.

Mom tells us, “We modeled the nursery after a more modern aesthetic. We wanted a room for our baby boy that was both functional and stylish that would grow with him and that didn’t scream baby room! The first item that we chose for the nursery was the fabric for the custom curtains that we had made. We fell in love with the modern chic print and the colors.” We are in love with those curtains too, Mom! The muted colors are a perfect pairing with the print. For the wall color, these parents turned to the perennial favorite, Benjamin Moore, and selected Collingwood OC-28, a soft dove grey color that provides a subtle backdrop for the wall decor. But this couple didn’t stop there! They decided to create a stunning accent wall using masculine striped wallpaper designed Graham & Brown and ordered from Home Depot. This unique attribute adds so much visual interest to the room without overpowering the other features.

On to the furniture! Mom writes, “The crib and dresser/change table combo is from Cara Mia Furniture and the custom upholstered glider chair is from Monte.” The contrast between the rich color of the furniture and the soft grey walls is just stunning! The stately crib is softened up with Dwell transportation bedding and organic duvet cover.

And of course, no nursery or kid’s room is complete without unique wall accents and accessories. Enter weeDECOR! Mom found the perfect spot for our whimsical white tree wall decal. In keeping with a modern, minimalist feel, she chose white for a clean, crisp look. Mom tells us, “Other wall decor is made up of some vintage prints from our families and pictures taken during the pregnancy and shortly after our son’s birth. All are mounted in frames created by Maclean Young Picture Framers. The lighting is a mixture of vintage finds and a custom ceiling fixture. The toy bins are from 3 Sprouts Organics and there is an assortment of vintage stuffed animals (original authentic Paddington Bear) and new finds!”

This is a mom who knows how to mix different design elements and strike a balance between 2 competing décor trends. Vintage and minimalist pieces coalesce to create a stylish and unique room that will be enjoyed for years. Great job, Mom! You are an inspiration!

So Elegant, So Refined…A Classic Nursery with a Stunning Wall Decal Border

Inspired by some of our favorite designs, these wall decals were custom-made for an Atlanta mom.

Nursery closet organization at its finest!

This Atlanta mom poured her heart and soul into the design of an incredible nursery for her baby boy. Iconic symbols of babyhood are remastered into contemporary, sophisticated elements that bring a sense of refinement to this stunning room.

We love how the soft baby blue walls are toughened up a bit with the steely gray curtain panels that could easily see Ian through the teen years. The Preston crib bedding set by CoCaLo seems to be just the right shade of blue as well and is paired beautifully with the rich brown in the furniture. Mom chose furniture from Baby’s Dream’s Legendary collection to serve as statement pieces for the room. The graceful curve of the top of the crib gives this piece a positively regal feel.

For the walls, mom approached weeDECOR to create some custom wall decals to create a wall border that would bring a little bit of whimsy to the nursery while maintaining an elegant feel overall. Inspired by our existing  rocking horse, bear, and classic train engine wall stickers, our designers made some slight modifications to achieve just the right look for this wall decal border for mom. But we didn’t stop there! Our designers also custom-made baby block wall decals reminiscent of the ABC blocks nightlight that mom found at Pottery Barn and placed on a side table next to that comfy-looking rocker by Dutailer. In a few shades darker than the wall color, the decals are subtle and bring a little bit of fun to the walls.

From the looks of his closet, it appears that Ian is going to be the best-dressed baby on the block! Mom turned to Home Depot’s Martha Stewart line of closet storage and organization in preparation of baby’s arrival. With so many fabulous clothes, a little organization is key. This set up is borderline mind-blowing! Onesies to the left, jackets to the right, sleepers in the middle…this closer is pure perfection! Once again, we are so proud that some of the savviest, most stylish parents out there use weeDECOR wall decals in fabulous nurseries everywhere.

We have so many examples of gorgeous nursery decor on our blog. Whether you’re decorating for a boy or girl, you are sure to find inspiration from both professional designers and super-creative moms and dads alike.

It's a turtle parade!

Look at these turtles strut their stuff! A New York mom tells us, “I decided on turtle theme because I love turtles and found these colored turtle wall decals from weeDECOR that were perfect. The bedding from Pottery Barn Kids came with a turtle fitted sheet. The colors of the bedding matched the decals I purchased! Fabulous!”

It IS fabulous! Wow! The Today’s Baby Augusta Elite Convertible Crib in cherry finish has clean lines that add to the contemporary feel of the room. We love how the bold colors of the turtles pop against a sky blue backdrop. This mom decided to run the turtle parade in a continuous loop along all four walls of the nursery. Too, too cute!

Any renters out there? We know just how frustrating it can be when you want to liven up your dwelling but can’t make any major changes. Hey, we can help with that! A mom in Kansas discovered how to use weeDECOR wall decals to embellish the walls of her daughter’s playrooom. She explains, “We are renting, so I wanted to do something to “jazz up” our little girl’s playroom without permanently changing the walls- enter weeDECOR! The fantastic staff helped me modify the colors since I wanted to add more color to the room and not necessarily stick to a particular palette; the paint is so pale that I wanted different colors.”

This  is a mom who knows what she wants, and at weeDECOR, we pride ourselves in offering the perfect wall decor to match your personal style. When she told us of her color dilemma, we created some custom colors to add the visual punch she was aiming for in the playroom. The new colors turned out to be exactly what she wanted. Happy mom, happy weeDECOR.

The nature wall decal mural offered the wow factor and versatility that she was looking for in playroom decor. The towering tree graces one wall, and other pieces were used to embellish those fabulous alphabet flash cards by Mark Fisher. Mom used a clever combination of string and clothespins to display the alphabet in a unique way that minimizes wall damage. With some savvy use of everyday household items and wall-friendly decals from weeDECOR, she is sure to get back that coveted security deposit!

We love it all!

This mom found the perfect embellishment to her crib bedding in our friendly whale wall stickers.

A Brooklyn mom found the most amazing accents to decorate her baby boys’ nursery. She writes, “As soon as we found out we were having a boy we knew we wanted to embrace everything BLUE! It first started off with finding the perfect bedding…we’ve always been fans of Pottery Barn Kids so it was love at first sight when we saw the JACKSON themed bedding set!”

We share her love of whales! There is something so charming about them when used in nursery decor. And what little one is fascinated by undersea creatures?

Once mom and dad decided on the bedding and furniture, it was time to find some cute embellishments to complete her nursery. Mom explains, “The cute chubby whales were so lovable that we went all out! We paired the Jackson bedding with their (Pottery Barn’s) whale mobile and whale wicker toy basket. The last and finishing touch was finding whale decals. Your store had exactly what we imagined. We got the large whale in matte navy and the small whales in light blue. It is truly the perfect finishing touch. Everyone that has seen our set up loves the whale themed look! Thanks for giving us “icing on the cake” for our crib set!”

We couldn’t be prouder to be a part of this room. The whale wall decals look fabulous above the crib, and the colors are an exact match! It sounds like these parents had a whale of a time creating an incredible nursery. Great job!

Yes, it may be easier to decorate a beautiful nursery when you have the resources many celebrities have. But, nonetheless, you have to hand it to Lonni Paul who did an amazing job designing Tiffani Thiessen’s lavender baby girl’s room. So amazing that Thiessen and Paul turned the modern baby room style into a new line of nursery decor called PetitNest.

Thiessen and Paul met on national television when Paul designed a guest room in Tiffani’s home on HGTV. You may remember Lonni Paul as the sole female finalist from HGTV’s “Design Star”. While working together to design baby Harper’s nursery, the pair were challenged by the lack of stylish options and decided to design a high-style infant and children’s decor line themselves. They describe the result as “a unique furniture and bedding collection for infants and children that is all grown up, from a design perspective, but is firmly in touch with its ‘inner child’.”

The modern classic collection of infant and children’s room furnishings is a style we frequently discuss at weeDECOR and PetitNest executes perfectly. Gorgeous furniture is stylish, yet functional like the Noe baby furniture collection featured above. We like this collection, in particular, because the decorative accents are striking, yet not overwhelming.

In addition to modern cribs, dressers, changing tables, and gliders, PetitNest offers a chic collection of baby bedding in modern prints and colors such as lavender florals. At celebrity prices, the nursery line may be a bit steep for the rest of us, but it’s divine to look at and if you’re truly in love, maybe you can talk Grandma into chipping in.

Since PetitNest was started after Thiessen’s nursery was complete, Paul and Thiessen found other stylish decor such as the Penelope leather glider from Oilo, the eco-friendly classic crib from Oeuf, a clear plexiglas chandelier from Y Lighting and a flokati rugcurvee side table and Haitian drum table all from Serena & Lily. The nursery was painted with eco-friendly, VOC-free lavender wall paint to pull it all together and make it eco-friendly to boot.
