Look Out! Look Out! It’s an Elephant Wall Applique Parade!

This Ontario mom found some darling animal-themed bedding and decided to carry the motif over to her walls. Starting with the wall color, she found a glorious shade of blue reminiscent of the sky on the clearest spring day. When it came time to choose decals, mom found the perfect design in our modern elephants wall decal. She wanted a shade that would really pop against the blue walls and asked us to create some custom colors for her. At weeDECOR, “wee” are happy to oblige your requests! We created white elephants with floppy blue ears that were true to the original design in an eye-catching color that doesn’t get lost against the blue walls. The elephant family that marches above the crib is just too cute! For even more fun, mom created her own mini-elephant parade above the window.

Elephants might be our new favorite nursery theme! This Connecticut couple found Carter’s Blue Elephant bedding set for the crib, and that’s just where the fun started! The collection includes some super-cute accent pieces as well. From the baby blanket over the chair to the valance in the window, elephant adorableness abounds in this nursery! To add some interest to the wall space that flanks the window,  these parents selected our modern elephants wall sticker in brown/pale blue. Our elephants are not shy! They took their places at the beginning  and end of this elephant parade and fit right in with their Carter’s counterparts. Mom and Dad definitely have a knack for incorporating our wall decals in a cute and clever way. Great job!

Up, Up, & Away with this Gorgeous Hot Air Balloon Wall Mural

Mom, Dad, and weeDECOR custom created this wall sticker mural for their little one.

Balloons, birds, and blue combine to create one gorgeous wall decal mural for an equally gorgeous baby! We were approached by a San Francisco couple to design wall decor that would bring their vision of a perfect nursery to life. Dad proposed to mom in a hot air balloon (awwww….) so they though it fitting to design the nursery of their first born, Ryan, using a hot air balloon theme. They wanted bright and bold colors and asked weeDECOR if we could do something custom. At weeDECOR, we jumped at the chance to help out these awesome parents-to-be. Our designers are always at the ready when special requests come in, and we know that only the best will do when creating that perfect space for your precious wee ones!

Mom and dad prepared the walls by blanketing them in Benjamin Moore’s Ice Blue from the Aura line. The choice of a softer paint color was brilliant for this project, as the white in the clouds and bold colors of the balloons are a great contrast to the muted tones of the background.

Then, it was on to the mural design! In the center, we fashioned a blue and lavender balloon personalized with “Ryan” to serve as the focal point of the mural. We created balloons of various sizes to give the impression of depth in the room (notice how the smaller balloons seem further away than the larger ones?). We included lots of bold color combinations like orange/blue, yellow/green, red/white, and blue/yellow so that the balloons didn’t fade into the paint color.

But that’s not all! Mom and dad wanted a little extra something. In came the embellishments! The clouds (part puffy, part effervescent, and 100% adorable) are creatively placed in front of some balloons and behind others to add to the three-dimensional feel of the design. We pulled some of the bright colors from the balloons to create some matching birdies and voila! A stunning wall decal mural that has it all: personality, exquisite detail, and fun, fun, fun! After adding in the darling Dylan bedding by Serena & Lily, the room was ready for baby’s arrival.

But what does Ryan think about all this? We’re thrilled to report that mom and dad say, “Baby Ryan LOVES looking at his decals as he lays in his crib. We couldn’t be happier with the finished product!” We couldn’t be happier, either. Thanks for choosing weeDECOR!

To Grandmas House We Go with weeDECOR Holiday Wall Decor

This Philadelphia grandmother cleverly displays the Christmas candy train above her dessert table so there is no question as to where her grandkids can find the sweets!

We frequently hear from moms and dads who are fans of weeDECOR. Imagine how thrilled we were to hear that grandmas are loving our wall decals, too! This Philadelphia grandmother tells us, “My daughter sent these wall stickers to me last week. At first, I was a little apprehensive about where and how to display them. I glanced in my dining room and noticed that my chair rail peeked out from behind my server and thought that would be a great place to park the Christmas train. During Christmas dinner, I display the desserts on this server, so I just made the connection that this would be the perfect spot for the Christmas train wall decal.” We couldn’t agree more! And something tells us that it won’t be long before the grandkids put two and two together and know exactly where to head when they walk through the door (after all the big hugs and kisses are doled out, of course!).

She writes, “I figured the snowman wall decal would look best against a wall with some color to it so he would stand out. He is an adorable addition to my living room now. I may not ever take him down!” Great thinking, Grandma! If you mixed the green and blue in our snowman wall sticker’s scarf, we’re pretty sure you’d get the exact color of that paint on the wall! Mom’s and Dad’s Bring Joy to the Walls with weeDECOR’s Christmas Wall Stickers

The holly leaves and berries add some unexpected glamour to this picture-perfect window.

This Pennsylvania mom decided they would look best around this gorgeous window that sits on the landing heading to the second floor of her home. She tells us, “We always have a ton of overnight visitors during the holidays and I wanted to add some beautiful holiday decor in unexpected places throughout my house. This adorable reindeer takes his place on a wall that separates the kitchen from the dining room and looks great underneath the family advent calendar. Mom writes, “I took one look at this reindeer silhouette wall decal and KNEW I had to have him. I loved the modern look of this design and that little bird is just too cute for words! I’m surprised you didn’t hear my kids’ squeals all the way from Pennsylvania when they saw him for the first time!” We agree that the reindeer fits just perfectly on that wall, turning it from plain to precious in just minutes! For one final embellishment, this Pennsylvania mom found a great spot for our Christmas penguins wall sticker. These friendly fellows will greet all of her holiday guests this year right when they walk in the door! Mom tells us, “I thought this was the perfect location for the Christmas penguins. They add a little something to my entry way without looking completely over-the-top. I’m hoping that they also serve as a subtle reminder to my kids as to where their own winter weather things belong (meaning…NOT on the floor). I’ll keep you posted on the success rate. When winter is over, I plan to remove the scarves and hats and relocate these decals to my kids’ playroom.” Sounds like a great plan, mom!. These Moms go all “Owt” with weeDECOR’s Adorable Owl Wall Decals!

Owls are fast becoming one of the latest and greatest trends in nursery decor. This mom added a special touch to her son's nursery with this personalized owl wall sticker.

Kellen’s mom is a great example of someone who went all “owt” with her nursery decor in this owl-themed room. The nature wall decal mural by the changing table is perfectly placed, allowing her little one to have something beautiful and intriguing to look at during all of those diaper changes. Two happy owls perch on graceful tree branches while some birds in flight make their way to a peaceful resting spot. There’s plenty of room for all sorts of friends on that towering tree!

Across the room, Kellen’s mom made his space personal and unique with our personalized owl wall sticker in pale blue. The colors look absolutely gorgeous and complement the other design elements so well! Mom found the super-fun rug at www.rugsusa.com and it’s only a matter of time before little Kellen starts to pitter patter from dot to dot. Mom kept the owl theme going in the crib with some adorable crib bedding by Dwell (one of our favorite designers of modern, fabulous nursery bedding).

So that other areas of the room didn’t feel left out, Kellen’s mom added some of the pieces from the nature wall decal mural to other walls. A single, sweet bird at the end of the crib watches over little Kellen when he sleeps, and yet another uses the photo collage as a landing place.

This room is such a fantastic example of a mom that uses the versatility of our designs in unexpected ways. She sticks to her chosen theme without overdoing it. Great job, mom!

This Quebec mom embellishes her kids’ walls with several different weeDECOR wall stickers, using color and birds to pull it all together. This mom used Valspar’s Betsy Ross House Moss as a great neutral color for the room. The dark walnut color in Graco’s Lauren Changing Table looks so rich against the muted walls. Unlike some of the other owls seen above, this group is fast asleep on a tree branch. It’s hard work being so adorable!
