It was such a pleasure for us to help Little Crown Interiors design this lovely pink butterfly nursery and we are excited to share this video with you! The family of this lucky baby girl was also quite pleased.

“Words alone can not express how beautiful you have made my soon to be granddaughter’s new nursery. Your taste is exquisite…you took into consideration everything my daughter was looking to have in her dream nursery,” Grandma told Little Crown Interiors. From the before and after photos of the room, you will see how our wall decals helped turn this baby room into butterfly heaven with a custom wall decal mural.

The room’s overall theme played with pale pink giving it a soft touch of femininity accented by butterflies and flowers in varying shades of green, pink, yellow and blue to complete the look. Colorful weeDECOR flower wall decals can be seen surrounding the room, sprouting from the ground with vines that crawl majestically on the wall – all larger than life to further create that enchanted look.

Flying from one blooming flower to another are butterfly wall decals in shades of bright pink, green, yellow and cobalt blue. You can see the playful butterflies not just adoring the colorful flowers, but also the painting on the wall.

For example, this pretty baby girl’s garden themed nursery in green and pink incorporates a traditional soft green and pink color palette with both delicate and vibrant accents to bring liveliness to the room. We love the mint green wall paint and the butterfly accents on the walls and sheer curtain for that delicate touch. Yet, we appreciate how the bright and vibrant floral rug is brought in without overwhelming the room. That is the brilliance of a great interior designer! Choosing decor for a baby girl is not as easy as it may seem.
Especially when you desire to design a unique kids’ room theme.

There are bumblebees and dragonflies and baby birds that tweet.
Flower themes or polka dots or ladybugs so sweet.

A nature theme could make sense – decorate with clouds, sun, and sky.
But for our baby girl, the choice is clear – we choose the butterfly.

Cute Fluttering Butterfly Wall Decals

My family was visiting the Academy of Sciences today in San Francisco. One of our favorite exhibits is the Rainforest exhibit. It’s an absolute delight to see butterflies fluttering around carefree and joyously, without any fear of the thousands of visitors that flock to see the exhibit daily. In fact, one of the butterflies landed on my son’s finger as he pointed to us with such glee & delight.

Of course, as soon as we got home, we looked to see if there were any butterfly decorations to give us some inspiration for our home. We really loved these cute butterfly wall decals from Etsy seller, MichelleChristina. We thought the design was so versatile that these butterfly wall decals could be used not just in the nursery or kids room, but also in other rooms of our home such as the family room or bathroom. We were disappointed to see that these butterflies were sold out at the current time but we hope that MichelleChristina will get more in stock soon.

The butterflies are bright and punchy and you can’t help but smile upon seeing them. The pink, brown, and grass green colors are contemporary, yet classic. The delicate and adorning valences and butterfly hanging wall art pieces pull the room together nicely.

Speaking of pulling together the room, we love the wall paint they’ve chosen to display the decor. The lavender paint tones down the pink in a way that creates a soothing ambiance. And, the dark wood furniture (cherry wood, we think) brings the perfect amount of depth to the room.

We found this modern butterfly set at Rosenberry Rooms for $180 for the basic bedding package. But, it is sold at many offline and online retailers so should not be too difficult to find.
