It’s hard not to end up with a fabulous looking little girl’s room when decorating with pink damask. In a bold, hot pink, this classic pattern is suddenly fresh and modern.

So don’t be color shy when decorating your girl’s room like the designers of this nursery with pink damask wallpaper designed for the Junior League of Toronto Show House. Nestled within the McLean House, a large scale mansion with equally grand-sized windows and doors with deep molded jambs, this nursery is adorned with a white shag rug, white painted chair rails, and cute wall hangings of framed doll clothes. The large silk swath of satin around the oval crib and three-panel dressing mirror add to the glam as well as the elegant butterfly wall decals embellishing the storage area.

Damask works well in a toddler girl’s room as well. Note how the pink damask wallpaper is used on an accent wall in this little girl’s room featured by Britain’s Ideal Home. Using the damask wallpaper on an accent wall ensures the bold print does not overwhelm the room. And, a simple white duvet with a bit of texture, a few throw pillows, and simple white drapes are all that are needed to dress up the rest of the room.

Yes, there is so much pink in girls’ room decorating.  But, that is simply because it is so fun and such a versatile color with which to decorate.  These three delicious decor sets from luxury kid’s room and baby nursery decor retailer Rosenberry Rooms inspired our article title – or maybe it was the thought of holiday sweets :) .  Either way, you cannot go wrong with these sweet as candy pink decor sets!

We love damask as a way to bring a classic look to a kid’s bedroom.  But, in order for it not to feel so heavy, a bright color is needed.  That is why we love this damask print bedding highlighted with green, pink, and white candy striped bed skirt and accent pillows.  The pink and white striped wall paint is easy to recreate with a little tape on the wall and a steady hand.  Put the icing on the cake with a few hanging wall letters or wall decals and a candy striped rug.

If you prefer something a bit more classic, consider toning down the colors with a soft gray or toning down the patterns with a classic rose pattern as is featured in the second decor set above in the chair and rug.  The pink bedding set is by Oopsy Daisy (known for their children’s wall art) and New Arrival’s Inc.  The vertical candy striped wall helps bring height to the space which is helpful given the wide dresser and bed in the room.

Finally, the bright green, white, and pink candy striped girl’s bedding in the third set screams sweet as sugar!  Balance is brought to the room with the soft lavender wall paint and sage green rug.

Drooling over Damask Nursery Decor in Chocolate & Sage

Sage & chocolate damask nursery decorating

Sage & chocolate damask nursery decorating

Though embarrassing to admit, we drool.  But, only for good reason.  And, that reason is damask.  So elegant!  So soothing!  So creative when used in a nursery!

We particularly like the creativity in using traditional nursery colors with this classic damask pattern. This four piece crib set from Carousel Designs is a perfect example of that.  The sage and chocolate color palette is a modern nursery decorator’s dream.  The richness of the palette exudes comfort and class.

One of the most striking parts of this damask set is the boldly-colored, statement-making chocolate brown fitted sheet.  Who knew how powerful crib sheet color could be?

The box-pleat crib skirt compliments with brown piping and sage stripes.

As always, we appreciate the wall decor.  The two-toned wall paint is both sharp and soft and using the matching fabrics as a wall canopy is distinctive.

We generally think of damask for a baby girl’s room, but this neutral color palette makes it an appropriate alternative for a gender neutral nursery as well.

Elegant Damask Print for Nursery & Kid's Decor

Elegant Damask Nursery Decor in Black, White, & Pink

Elegant Damask Nursery Decor in Black, White, & Pink

If you are not into animals or the traditional kids’ room themes, consider this elegant take on a nursery.  Designed by luxury baby brand Doodlefish, this black and white damask print combined with baby pink and white stripes brings both elegance and sweet.  Though the print comes in the standard 4 piece crib bedding set (i.e. crib sheet, bumper, blanket, and crib skirt), we like the toddler bed set (coverlet and pillow) as it is often harder to find a good selection of materials and fabrics in this size.

Doodlefish calls the set Amore and we think it is aptly named.  A bit high priced for some of us budget-minded moms, but may be worth the splurge – particularly since it can last through the toddler years.

The wall art is also precious.  Find a wide selection of delectable pieces featuring bunnies, turtles, and birds in various nature scenes.  For crafty moms, the damask print and other fabrics are also for sale should you choose to upholster a chair or make some curtains or a valence.

Find both the baby nursery and toddler set for sale at Honey Bunch Kids.
