This mom and dad created a gender-neutral nursery using a beautiful paint color, adorable bedding, and super-creative use of our wall decals. Mom and dad coated the walls with Benjamin Moore’s Country Green to give the room a soft, soothing feel. They outfitted the bed with Sleepin’ Safari bed cribbing from Land of Nod. With colorful animals appliqued on the quilt and bumper, this was a great choice that accents the wall color perfectly.

The piece de resistance in this nursery is the fantastic wall decor found over the crib. File this under…wall decals, they’re not just for walls anymore! Mom and dad created their own custom artwork featuring some of our favorite decals. A cuddly blue elephant starts the parade, followed by a stately giraffe and lion. A lumbering hippo and darling little turtle round out the animal train. Carefully placed on wooden canvases, these one-of-a-kind pieces are modern enough for the room and timeless enough to be passed down the the grandchildren. We are, once again, blown away by the creativity of moms and dads everywhere!

This New York City mom went with a jungle theme in her little boy’s nursery, and the results are incredible! Benjamin Moore’s Grey Cashmere blankets the wall and provides a lovely backdrop for that Ouef Sparrow crib in white. Minimalist bedding provides some leeway to jazz up the walls with adorable decals, and that’s just what mom did! She chose two complimentary decal designs to bring some fun to her little boy’s room. Mom used our safari wall decal mural to create a little parade across the wall. A handsome giraffe leads the way followed by his charming safari friends. It’s only appropriate that the turtle acts as the caboose in this animal train!  Mom chose to personalize her son’s room with out premium personalized monkey wall decal. We just love how that mischievous little monkey looks ready to drop in on the fun as well!

Mom tells us, “The Safari wall decals match perfectly with the furniture and the Cloud B Monkey Sleep Machine and Tiny Love Sweet Island Dreams mobile!  We love them and so does everyone else that’s come by to see it!” We couldn’t agree more! This is a great example of two great looks that look great together. Fantastic job, mom!

This Ontario mom found some darling animal-themed bedding and decided to carry the motif over to her walls. Starting with the wall color, she found a glorious shade of blue reminiscent of the sky on the clearest spring day. Elephants might be our new favorite nursery theme! This Connecticut couple found Carter’s Blue Elephant bedding set for the crib, and that’s just where the fun started! The collection includes some super-cute accent pieces as well. From the baby blanket over the chair to the valance in the window, elephant adorableness abounds in this nursery! To add some interest to the wall space that flanks the window,  these parents selected our modern elephants wall sticker in brown/pale blue. Our elephants are not shy! They took their places at the beginning  and end of this elephant parade and fit right in with their Carter’s counterparts. Mom and Dad definitely have a knack for incorporating our wall decals in a cute and clever way. Great job!

An Elegant Elephant Themed Baby Room for a Girl

Isn’t baby Audrey a lucky little girl? Her mom has an eye for design as you can see with this elegant pink and grey elephant themed nursery.

To get this look, this Pennsylvania couple started decorating their baby’s room with a pretty shade of pale grey wall paint. Called “Sweet Innocence” by Benjamin Moore, we are in awe of how this shade of grey screams “elegance” just perfectly.  The slightly muted shade of paint allows the bright white and pale pink accents to dance off the wall.

For her crib, mom chose Restoration Hardware Baby & Child’s pink and grey baby bedding. Notice how the pretty pink, grey and white striped sheets and grey crib skirt add that touch of detail and elegance mom? The decadently pink curtains in the nursery are also from Restoration Hardware Baby & Child.

For other elegant decorative accents, mom got creative with ceiling décor by hanging a faux white chandelier from Urban Outfitters. Cleverly, mom and dad covered the cord with the grey and white damask fabric that covers the white glider. Ah, damask – another small but powerful detail that brings elegance to the baby’s room!

Finally, for wall décor, mom chose our personalized elephant parade wall decal in grey and pale pink spelling baby Audrey’s name in our classic type style. She also decorated with a towering white tree wall decal (not seen in the photo) to bring in a bit more playfulness as well as a pink and grey stuffed baby elephant strategically placed on the end table.

An Elephant Themed Nursery by a Maryland Mom

This Washington DC mom used miles of style to get this crisp, modern elephant themed nursery. And, we were happy to help with our elephant wall decals.

She tells us, “Your elephant wall decals are so cute!  I loved how I was able to mix and match to create the look I was going for. And, I love that your wall decals are made of eco-friendly fabric. The texture is great!”

We couldn’t resist asking her to share her decorating inspiration and are so glad she was willing. She tells weeDECOR, “I love to travel and I love elephants. When I go places, I always look for elephant knickknacks. When I found out I was expecting, I thought it would be fun to create an elephant themed nursery bringing into the baby’s room much of the elephant décor I had purchased over the years.”

She adds, “I also can’t resist Restoration Hardware Baby&Child bedding for their simple and modern style. And, since we didn’t want to find out the gender of our baby ahead of time, it made sense to stick with baby bedding in a neutral green.”

Mom purchased Restoration Hardware Baby & Child’s modern polka dot crib sheeting featuring silver sage and chocolate brown dots. She paired it with their 240-thread-count percale gathered crib skirt in silver sage and chocolate piping.

Her chair and ottoman is from Daisy Baby in Bethesda, a fabulous baby boutique (she tells us) for moms in the area.

Mom finished off baby’s room with elephant themed wall décor. Above the top of her crib, she aligned four of our small elephant wall decals in mocha and brown and added a touch of green with two green wall decal shrubs on either side.  She also accented the nursing corner above her glider with another elephant, a tall palm tree (in small) and a few more shrubs.  And, she hung an elephant print right above her changing table.

One of the things that makes her elephant themed nursery so crisp and modern is she used lots of light colors and white in the room that make her chocolate brown décor choices – her glider, her brown crib bumper ties, and her chocolate brown rug border – visually “pop”. Just darling!

Blue Elephant Wall Decal for a Safari Baby Nursery

We love this collection of wall decals (or wall stickers) from Giggle, the NYC-based modern baby store.  The first of which is an elephant and mouse combo - perfect for a jungle or safari theme baby room.  It is a neutral enough color and style that would work well when decorating a boy or girl nursery.  You can buy the rest of the collection which includes a pink hippopotamus, orange lion, and brown monkey.

As we’ve noted before, safari theme nurseries are very popular these days and wall decor is a great way to create the jungle look in a way that adds interest and playfulness.  And, because wall decals are easily removable, they are a great option should you want to switch themes oh, every few months or so because there are so many great ones out there
