Coyuchi is dedicated to designing and producing linens and other products for the home by applying the principles and practices of certified organic and fair trade to the bedding and bath industry.
Coyuchi’s goal is to delight with 100% organic cotton sheets, pillow cases, towels, bath mats, blankets, quilts, duvet covers, robes and layettes.
Ms. Nielson got the inspiration for Coyuchi while working on a community development project in Oaxaca, Mexico. She was taken by the beauty and quality of the local, hand-woven cotton textiles, made from Coyuchi, a word derived from ancient Aztec and used to describe natural brown cotton. The company’s first product line was made from the colored cotton from Coyuchi.
