A Train Wall Sticker Bookshelf for a Kid's Room

We love when we’re surprised by creative uses of our wall decals. Though we strive to be inspiring, it doesn’t hurt to have the bar set higher by our customers. And, the bar is now higher upon seeing this creative use of our train wall decals as a bookshelf in a kid’s room. This mom started by painting her room “Pale Daffodil” by Behr. She purchased book shelves from The Land of Nod .

She then accented the book shelves with our classic train wall decals in pale blue so that the books look like they are being carried by the train across the wall. Now, if that’s not incentive enough to engage a little boy in reading, what is – aside from the fact that the Giving Tree, one of our favorites, sits on that cute shelf.

With a baby boy named “Rush” how could you not design a fabulous looking car themed boy’s room?  Using weeDECOR car wall decals and coordinating decor from Pottery Barn Kids, Ikea, and Target, this Washington, DC mom pulls together a playful and fun transportation themed room.

Mom tells weeDECOR, “I love the fabric material of your wall decals.  And, I love that they are removable and stickable.  Really allows for great flexibility!  Rush’s car wall decals really pull his room together.”

When asked how she thought about designing her little boy’s room, mom told weeDECOR, “I knew I was going to have a lot of color in his room, so I started with neutral-colored walls so the other colors would stand out. Since I wanted a car themed room, I found cute car theme accessories. I got my bedding at Pottery Barn Kids – called “Oscar”.  I found this cute car themed rug at Ikea, and a car throw pillow (by Circo) at Target. I then bought the blue border chenille rug from Pottery Barn Kids to bring out more blue in the room.”

Mom also tells us her classic white crib is from Bonavita.

We love how mom used her car wall decals as a border above Rush’s crib and along his toddler bed.  The two-tiered roads are a clever way to bring different focal points to the room depending on which angle you look from.

Transportation themed boys’ rooms are continuing in popularity this fall.  And, blue continues to be the color of choice among weeDECOR customers decorating themed boy rooms.

These two moms from the east and west coast, respectively, went for transportation themed rooms with our California mom highlighting planes and our Pennsylvania mom highlighting trains.

Our Pennsylvania mom tells weeDECOR, “We love the train wall decal that we purchased for our son, Alex’s, nursery! The decal was very easy to apply and goes well with the transportation themed bedding that we picked.” To get this look, mom purchased our personalized train wall decal in navy blue and chose our smiley type style. She matched it to her transportation themed baby bedding by Kids Line called “Mosaic Transport” in chocolate brown, baby blue, pale green, and white.  The combo looks striking against her dark wood classic crib and the decal pops nicely against her pale green wall.

Our California mom tells us, “We love our plane wall decals and 2 year old Lucas really likes the letters and having his name on the wall.” This mom decorated Lucas’ playroom with our personalized plane wall decals and some planes from our airplane wall decal mural. We love how the decals frame the fireplace so perfectly.
