A mom scored some darling vintage dresses from a clothing store that was shutting down and, with the help of some twine, added softness and dimension to her daughter’s walls. So clever! Little Crown Interiors has done it again!  Check out this gorgeous gender neutral, vintage nursery in soft blue, taupe, and green the talented interior designers created for a client’s baby #2.

As Little Crown worked with on the nursery design with their client, two themes took shape – a very beautiful shabby chic nursery, and individual pieces that together, lent themselves to a vintage nursery theme.  Little Crown decided on chic Newport Cottages furniture and then went on to choose colors. They loved the idea of green, but couldn’t find the right fabrics and bedding for their vision. So, they created custom crib bedding with coordinating pillows, changing pad covers, and window treatments.

Since the client also wanted the nursery to double as a guest room, Little Crown added a sleeper sofa, and a side table that could act as a night stand.

From the custom crib bedding to the perfect shade of green nursery paint, the beautiful lighting fixture and the blackout window treatments, Little Crown made sure that it all worked together to create a gender neutral nursery any baby would love.

Peace, Love, & Flower Power for a Vintage Themed Nursery

Baby boutique designer Bananafish is always so creative and they have done it again.  This modern take on the 70’s brings nostalgia to any nursery – particularly those of us moms born in the 1970’s.  Suited for a baby girl, we felt this nursery served as great inspiration for unique nursery colors and a one-of-a-kind vintage nursery theme. 

Bright and sunny blues, oranges, and pinks quickly bring a smile to your face.  And, the brightly-colored with modern font L-O-V-E baby quilt brings the baby blanket well into this century.  The white baby furniture makes the bright colors pop particularly nicely.

The nursery wall decor is just precious and shouldn’t be hard to find. The flowers scream girl power!  Flower wall decals and wall stickers come in many styles and you’re bound to find some you like.  The ones displayed will be helpful in creating little Austin Powers fans. Although somewhat hidden in the photo, the creative use of nursery wall hangings to spell love is clever and we like how they are positioned vertically down the wall.  You could also consider painting lettered wall stencils to create a similar look.

The Raggedy Ann doll in the corner and the retro I love rock n’ roll guitar add the finishing touches to this vintage themed nursery.
