Yo Gabba Gabba Kids Room Decor

Our kids love Dora the Explorer, Disney movies, Yo Gabba Gabba, and other popular TV shows and movies.  Given how these characters have invaded our homes, it is sometimes hard to stomach the idea of creating homage to them in the form of themed bedroom decor. But, it makes our wee ones smile so we do it anyway.  The key to keeping your sanity is to design a space that allows themed characters like DJ Lance Rock, Muno, Plex, Foofa, Toodee, and Brobee to live cooperatively in your home without creating cacaphony in your decor. 

To do this, seek simplicity in accessorizing elements.  This Yo Gabba Gabba themed kids room featured above does this nicely.  Notice the simplicity in the decorative elements like a solid blue rug, a solid blue lamp shade, and a simple white wall shelf with one or two nick-knacks.  The neutral natural woven storage baskets are supporting cast members in this symphony of playfulness.
