A Neutral Nursery Rich with Color & History by a North Carolina Mom

Since mom was not finding out the gender of her baby ahead of time, this presented a decorating challenge with which weeDECOR was happy to help. Mom tells us, “Since we did not know the sex of our baby until she was born, I ordered the blue elephants for our nursery. I thought they were neutral and cute.”  To kick things off, Mom purchased her rocker, ottoman, dresser, and changing table on consignment and had the pieces refinished and reupholstered. She purchased her equally stylish and economical white crib from Ikea (called “Gulliver”). She then chose Pottery Barn Kid’s Pique crib bedding in white and chocolate brown.  She hung curtains in white and soft beige with cute, sheer, neutral-colored polka dots for added personality. Finally, she hung a gorgeous pendant light in chocolate brown from Restoration Hardware Baby and Child to punctuate the room in style. When deciding what to put on the walls, Mom first ordered weeDECOR’s large and small elephant wall decal in pale blue and sage green. She tells weeDECOR, “I liked those so much that after Taylor was born, I decided to order her name from you all as well - had to have some pink!”  Mom chose our personalized owl wall decal in bright pink spelling baby Taylor’s name in our modern type style. She tells us, “I am very happy with my recent order! The decals look great! Thanks for sending your photos, mom, and congratulations on such a gorgeous nursery for baby Taylor!
